27,000+ homes electrified through NEA

Through our ongoing partnership with the National Electrification Administration (NEA), Cost Plus, Inc. has delivered over 27,000 Solar Home Systems to the some of the most remote and last 8% unserved households across the Philippines. Each unit, powered by durable lead-carbon battery technology and solar panels, brings essential electricity for lighting, phone charging, and small appliances, transforming daily life in off-grid communities. By working with 17 electric cooperatives nationwide, we’ve helped advance NEA’s mission of universal access to power, while setting new standards for sustainable rural electrification.

  • Supply, delivery, and installation of stand-alone prepaid modular SHS packages with batteries, associated Loading Systems, warranties of equipment, provision of spares, and training of member-consumers-owners (MCOs), Solar Business Unit (SBU) staff, and Community Based Technicians (CBTs), to electrify rural households using SHS with batteries, all to specifications herein and in verified proper working order.
  • The SHS service levels offered are designed to meet the basic power demands of most rural customers.
