Established in 2003, Cost Plus, Inc. is a trusted and proven one-stop provider of electrical and engineering solutions in the Philippines. With over two decades of experience, we specialize in the supply, delivery, installation, testing, and commissioning of power systems, including generator sets, ATS/MTS, switchgears, synchronizing panels, transformers, busway systems, and complete power substations.
From backup power for commercial giants to electrifying the most remote rural areas, our work has powered the needs of the country’s top businesses and underserved communities alike.
History & Evolution
From humble beginnings supplying gensets to nationwide cell sites, we expanded to power plants, telecom infrastructure, and transport modernization. Clients such as Globe, Smart, Huawei, Toyota, Shangri-La, and Double Dragon have relied on our reliability and scale.
By 2020, we pivoted into sustainable technology, marking a major strategic shift. We began leading rural electrification efforts through Solar Home Systems powered by safe and efficient lead-carbon batteries for the National Electrification Administration (NEA).

Anand Mahtani
Anand Mahtani is a first-generation entrepreneur who started from scratch in 2003, venturing into trading, mining, and power. Over the years, he pivoted from traditional industries to impact-driven innovation, choosing to build businesses that uplift lives and transform communities.
With no outside capital or investor control, Anand has self-funded every venture with a singular mission:
“To create scalable systems that bring power, health, and dignity to the people who need it most.”
His projects today span solar home systems, hydrogen-powered mobility, carbon credit platforms, and accessible healthcare for underserved populations across the Philippines, India, and Africa.
Known for his speed of execution and long-term vision, Anand continues to invest his energy into real-world solutions, eschewing hype for meaningful, measurable impact.
His dream:
To pioneer a global ESG revolution: starting with transforming the two-wheeler industry through mass conversion to green hydrogen-powered mobility. His vision is to uplift incomes, reduce environmental harm, and bring clean, affordable transport to the underserved. Gizelle Anne Peña
As Managing Partner of Cost Plus, Inc., Gizelle Anne Peña has spent eight years driving growth, strengthening operations, and advancing the company’s mission. With a degree in Development Studies, civil service eligibility, and a collaborative, results-driven mindset, she has led projects in electrical equipment, modern public utility vehicles (PUVs), and solar home systems for underserved communities, helping light homes and improve lives. She continues to inspire others with her professionalism and care, while actively contributing to the company’s expanding renewable energy initiatives.
Manish Khotani
Manish Khotani is the Chief Financial Officer of Cost Plus, Inc., with over seven years of financial leadership experience. Since 2018, he has strengthened the company’s financial health, driven growth, and ensured sustainability by overseeing operations and guiding strategic decisions. Previously, he held senior finance roles at Kukreja Dalani & Co., Ram K. Raj & Associates, and M&A Logistic Co. in India, where he streamlined operations and improved profitability. He holds a postgraduate degree in Finance and Accounting from Mumbai University and is known for his pragmatic, disciplined approach to simplifying complex financial matters and achieving organizational goals.
